I can't believe that I am gonna have to make this post regarding August 13th... If you see some videos missing on my page, they are still there (scroll to the bottom for a solution). YouTube decided to roll out their ai age verification estimation technologies that will mark users under 18 as a "teen account" ( https://blog.youtube/news-and-events/extending-our-built-in-protections-to-more-teens-on-youtube/ ) and it will automatically turn on restricted mode (which has existed for years). https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/174084 Go to the "Learn more about Restricted Mode" part to learn what it does by default, there's a couple more things described in the 2nd link page that it will also do https://youtube.com/post/UgkxSVxE7grqTRxh61vSJ0n1XTlUhitJOXFu As stated from here it says the following... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For creators, based on our age estimation model we’ll apply some additional protections including: - Setting uploads as private by default for anyone - Restricting the ability to earn from gifts on vertical live stream --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Which the first one is talking about you uploading videos, not what you already have uploaded (as far as I know) and I personally didn't even know that 2nd feature even existed in the first place. I don't think this change will affect users who already monetized their channel, as they have to be 18 to even get monetization working in the first place from Adsense itself. (UPDATE 11/26/25: Nevermind, this still affects monetized users) Anyways, the solution to see the missing videos from the "Restrictions" is to either sign out of your youtube account, or go into an incognito window and find the videos you are looking for!
